Family Legal Cost Assistance

Help with legal costs for separated parents in family court custody cases, starting in Snohomish County and Okanogan County.

Partners

Partner with us on family legal costs.

We're inviting family law attorneys, LLLTs, mediators, legal aid organizations, and supporters to help parents afford custody cases. There are a few ways to take part.

Option 1

Reduced partner rate

Offer a reduced partner rate or limited-scope work for parents we've screened, with Indigo Unlimited paying part of the invoice.

Option 2

Reduced-fee or pro bono matters

Take one or two reduced-fee or pro bono matters a year.

Option 3

Financial or in-kind support

Support the initiative with a financial gift or in-kind help.

What partners get, honestly

  • Gifts of cash or property to Indigo Unlimited, a 501(c)(3), are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
  • Donated time and services are not tax-deductible (IRS Publication 526).
  • Reduced-fee work for persons of limited means counts toward the pro bono goal in Washington RPC 6.1.
  • Attorneys who report 50 or more pro bono hours can qualify for the WSBA Pro Bono Honor Roll.
  • Recognition as a partner on this page, if you'd like it.

How referrals work

We keep a neutral referral list. Parents choose their own attorney or provider. Referrals are never tied to donations, and giving to Indigo Unlimited doesn't earn a firm more referrals.
